Fashion Love Spring/Summer 2018-2: Tendencies!

Hey beauties,

ready to be backed up with some more news regarding that wonderful upcoming season?

Well, I definitely am!

You know, it’s true, watching all those fashion shows, reading numerous articles on the “Hot and Not” section and diving deeper into the topic of trends, can leave one quite confused. But while some fashionistas don’t seem to be too sure of the newest trends, it nearly always ultimately comes down to 4 or 5 things you should look out for.

We’ve covered the colours of Spring/Summer season in this last article already. Next up are some general tendencies, material or pattern wise, that will for sure lift your heart and spirit.

I cannot guarantee that you won’t be infected with the well-known disease to any fashion lover: shopping fever!

The 5 tendencies of Spring/ Summer

1. Oversized trousers and Midi Skirts

I am not too sure what to think of this trend. Oversized trousers are great, on the one hand – if you ever have been in the situation when you just ate too much and your stomaches bulges a little bit (a little much) under your tight dress, you know where I am heading with this. Additionally, they are easily combined with classy blouses or even crop tops.

Midi Skirts on the other hand. Meh. The problem with midiskirts for everyone who does not have model sizes is a) the length, obviously, because it always looks as if it’s just that wee bit too much or too little material. And b) (oh, the b!) with a skirt hanging to spot where your calves are thickest, it is never, and I repeat: never!, a very flattering size.

2. Florals and Dots

Florals, sure, for spring that is not a very big innovation. But honestly, who can imagine a spring theme without florals?

Dots, however, also prominent already in fall and winter, definitely stay for the spring and summer months! It’s the bit 50s feeling, that you get with it.

Hint: If you go for new florals, check out really big, vintage prints. Little flowers are cute, but cute is often not very stylish aaand a bit downsized, so lets go for something a bit more daring this time!

3. Rainbows

Another one of these slightly difficult to incorporate trends: all the colours of the rainbow! Well actually that’s not right – it’s not difficult to incorporate in general. It is, however, if you or want to stay lowkey, or have difficulties in combining it without looking like a parrot!

Tip: Get yourself one key piece, which already combines all the colours. This way you don’t have to go mixing and matching and risking an embarrassing moment, but are on the safe side!

Ciao Firenze! 🛍🛍 P.S. Trova l'intrusa 🙂 #esmarabyheidiklum #LETSDENIM #lidlfashionweek #lidlfashion #Advertising @lidlitalia . . . #lookoftheday #lookdodia #lookatme #lookalike #lookdujour #lookinggood #sweater #multicolor #multicolored #stripe #skinny #skinnyjeans #halftopknot #topknot #meandyou #mylove #myman #couplegoals #coupleset #couplepics #persempreinsieme #mydog #doglovers

4. Metallics

Finally a trend I absolutely adore. Metallics are a great way to, literally, shine. Different to the rainbow tendency, for example, you can easily style any piece that’s metallic with your outfit. And going low isn’t a problem either. Some shiny earrings or a simple bag will do the job already.

5. Sequins and Crystals

Similar to the above-mentioned trend, at least in terms of being shiny, sequins and crystals come into the mind. I can’t help it: Sparkling and eye-catching is in. And it’s good that way. After the long winter months, it’s time to shine again!

Yep, The world definitely needs more sparkle. ✨🌟✨ Bring it on and see the response..😄😄😄. One of my favorite go to brands @aliceandolivia never disappoints when it comes to color, sparkle, awesome graphic t’s, and the best trends of each season. They do run small, so bump up your size. Also @juievos is one of the best upscale fashion accessory brands that goes so well with the bold looks or scaled down into classic fashion. So, do ya need a reboot? Just think sparkle for spring. You will not disappoint.
